The terroir is made up of Castillon clay and Emilion limestone. The entire vineyard has been certified organic since the early 1980s. The vines are grown naturally , in compliance with official organic specifications. Ecocert controls and certifications are carried out. The vineyard surrounds the ancient stone pine depicted on the label.
