Description
This was the first time I had tasted Ipsus
which is quite favorable for ageworthy wines
There is remarkable finesse here for villages level Pommard and nary a trace of rusticity
I very much like the depth and while not quite as structured as the Clos de Vougeot this will require an extended snooze in a cool cellar to realize its full
firm and grainy with an amazing backbone of freshness supporting all that tightly wound
Francois Bertheau, Chambolle Musigny Charmes other_regions_australia This was the first time(from a . 66 ha parcel). Here the nose is really quite elegant with its assortment of red cherry, raspberry, lavender, violet and soft spice wisps. There is slightly better mid palate volume to the equally caressing medium weight flavors that offer a bit more overall depth and persistence on the dusty and well balanced if more evidently structured finish that exudes a hint of bitter cherry pit character.
